五（6）班班主任宗薇曾经说: “作为一名英语教师班主任，我觉得在学生学习英语的起始阶段一定要从文化的角度引导学生理解英语，注重培养学生的跨文化意识。教师要挖掘文化内涵，将英语国家的风土人情、传统习俗、主要节日的庆祝方式等文化知识适时介绍给学生，拓宽学生的视野，帮助他们增加理解，学会接纳，学会融入，关心和尊重不同文化形态和各民族的风俗习惯。比如，教材中出现了英语国家重要的节日，像圣诞节、万圣节、复活节、感恩节等，教师在教学中应该让学生了解这些国家的文化习俗，才能根据所在的场合和所面对的不同人进行自如的交际。”

正值圣诞节前夕，借助升旗仪式集体晨会时间，宗老师就带着他们班的孩子们为二实小校区全体师生带来了精彩的圣诞主题宣讲，挂起一股浓浓的圣诞风。

经过精心的准备，负责介绍圣诞知识的孩子们中英文对照，清晰流利地介绍着圣诞节的习俗。长长的圣诞习俗知识经过孩子们绘声绘色的介绍，变得通俗易懂。孩子们充分感受到中西方文化的差异，对这个西方国家的传统节日有了更加深入的认识。

温暖活泼的圣诞歌舞经过孩子们精心的编演，可看性非常强，吸引着全体观看师生的目光。歌舞结束，孩子们热烈的掌声充分说明了演出的成功。各班的队伍陆续回到教室，校园里依然回荡着动人的旋律。

Many parents tell their children that Santa Claus will bring them gifts if they’re good throughout the year. The family spends time together decorating it with beautiful lights,balls and ornaments. Then it’s time to place the wrapped gifts under the tree waiting until Christmas Day to open.
