Last Saturday, my friends and I went out for our culture activity, which was to feel the
real Lake Ontario.
As soon as we got to the Cherry Beach, all of us were deeply shocked by the fascinating
sceneries along the lakeline. Although the weather was not very well, one word “Harmony”
jumped out from my deep heart immediately, which is becoming a more and more popular
word in China now, but here, you will definitely have another kind of feeling. It is not just
a slogan, it’s the truth. The water runs clear, the swans swim comfortably and Mother Na-
ture surrounds you in all of its glorious splendor. Where your only backdrop is the rustic
colors of the running water, and the only sounds are those made by the overabundant wild-
life that inhabit the area alongside you. Lake Ontario is surprisingly beautiful that com-
bines the outdoors, fun and adventure all into one tremendous package. It is one of the
five Great Lakes of North America. The lake is bounded on the north by the Canadian
province of Ontario which I’m studying in now and on the south by Ontario's Niagara Fall
and by the U.S. state of New York. Its name is derived from ontarío, a Huron word meaning
"great lake". However, it is the smallest Great Lake and the only one that does not border
with Michigan.
Enjoy the whole weekends with family and prepare to make your very own paths to adven-
ture, or if you prefer, book a motorboat spreading yourself over the extraordinary lake -
whatever you choose, Lake Ontario is the perfect place to truly get them all. Enjoying a
breathtaking sunset or roasting marshmallows by the fire - the activities are endless
when staying at these first-class resorts of Canda. There’re also many parks and beaches
around the lake. People can choose wherever they like to go fishing or enjoy the life. I saw
a brunch of happy families having picnics next to the bush on Cherry Beach. Their facial
expressions are so attractive and moving that do drive me to dream about immigrating
and living here. Lake Ontario is really amazing!
